Special Recognition

Each year the American Bouvier des Flandres Cub (ABdFC) recognizes the commitment and dedication made to the Bouvier with a number of Award Programs.
Awards are determined by meeting qualifications, ABdFC member nomination or participation in various events.

Dog Hero of the Year

Nominations for the Bouvier Dog Hero Of The Year are made to the current Specialty Show Chairman. The Chairman or the Show Committee selects the winner, who is announced at the Annual Awards Banquet.

Futurity

A breeders showcase conformation event. Learn more about the Futurity Program and see all the current and past Futurity winners.

Multi-Level Performance

MLP is a multi-event annual competition held each year at the National Specialty. Competitors enter in at least 3 events and each entry earns points. Learn more about MLP and see the current and past winners.

Owner-Handler and

Breeder-Owner-Handler

Awarded to the owner and exclusive handler or the breeder/owner and exclusive handler, respectively, for all awards submitted for consideration of the Bouvier des Flandres earning the greatest number of points in AKC conformation and Obedience competition.

Register of Merit (ROM)

The Register of Merit Book/CD recognizes dogs that have had a significant impact on Bouviers in the U.S. The program has pictures and information of titled offspring contributing points to their sire & dam, with the lifetime totals being calculated.

Top Producers

This Award is presented to the Stud Dog and Brood Bitch with the highest number of offspring earning titles during the calendar year. These are awarded at the Annual Awards Banquet at the National Specialty each year.

Top Twenty

This event, held yearly at the ABdFC National Specialty, will provide a special recognition to those Bouvier des Flandres with the most outstanding competitive records in conformation and performance, as well as their breeders, owners, and handlers.

Sportsman of the Year & Lifetime Achievement

Versatile Bouvier

Bouviers earning "points" for participating and competing in a variety of areas can qualify for the versatility award.

Veterinarian of the Year

The ABRL offers this award annually to a deserving veterinarian. Members can nominate any veterinarian they feel is deserving of this award.

Volunteer of the Year

This award recognizes and honors an outstanding individual who is volunteering their time and talent to the benefit of the Bouvier des Flandres and the American Bouvier des Flandres Club.
