As a member, you can support the Bouvier Health Foundation which underwrites veterinary research specifically targeted to problems affecting our breed.  You can also support Bouvier Rescue both monetarily and as a volunteer to help the committee fulfill its promise to find loving homes for those Bouviers who have lost theirs.

The side benefit to membership is not only our annual specialty publication, Bouv Tale, but the opportunity to meet many like minded Bouvier enthusiasts from across the country.  The club hosts not only a National Specialty week but also performance events. The opportunities for friendship, mentoring, expanding breeding knowledge and just plain fun are endless. Volunteer work on the club’s many committees is rewarding as is serving on the Board or as an Officer.  In the above capacities, you will have an even greater say in the direction of the breed.

The Bouvier gives so much to us that it seems reasonable that you return the favor by becoming a member of the American Bouvier des Flandres Club to ensure that the breed remains true in mind, spirit and body to the dog you fell in love with and chose to add to your family.  You can be part of the group of dedicated owners that connects the past, manages the present, and plans for the future. No one else will look after the breed if you do not.

The American Bouvier des Flandres Club is the primary guardian of the breed.  With your membership comes a vote.  Your vote will help determine the future of our breed here in the US and within the AKC family. You will have a say in any changes to the breed standard, the code of ethics, performance standards and policies that affect the dogs as well as the membership. .
