1. The handler with the most points will be awarded the title for the club year (July 1st to June 30th). Only titles and scores earned between July 1st and June 30th will be eligible for the year's award.
2. The score table is used when HIT or HC is not earned. You can not earn points from the score table and HIT/HC table combined. You would earn the points from the highest point category applicable.
Example: HIT with a score of 200 at a 150 dog trial would not earn 18-20 points. Only 10 would be earned.
Example: You win an All-Breed HIT from the Novice class at a trial of 100 dogs with a 196, you would earn 9 points instead of 7.
3. The handler must submit the documentation for this award. Proof may be from AKC awards reports, copies of title certificates or copies of pages from the AKC Awards issues. Handler documentation shall to be tallied/verified by an impartial person chosen by the board. This person would give a full report of applicants to the board.
4. In the event of a tie, the dog with the most advanced title wins. If both dogs have the same title, the one with the single highest score wins.
5. The handler must be a member in good standing to compete for the award.
6. Only scores from the regular classes will be accepted for the award.
7. Novice level handlers: Only an additional 12 qualifying scores (at the novice level) will be accepted after the CD title is earned. This allows a maximum of 15 Novice level qualifying scores.
