Agility

Companion Sport

Agility is a fast-paced event in which the dog runs along a course with lots of running and jumping. Agility has become a popular dog sport. The owner or handler sends the dog through several obstacles, such as over different types of jumps, through tunnels, weave poles, tire jumps, and even up a teeter-totter. Also included is a pause table in the middle of the course. It’s an athletic event so it requires conditioning and training for both dog and handler. Agility is a great spectator sport. Many people like watching dogs of every breed, size and shape run up A-frames, across elevated walks, through tunnels and in and out of the weave polls.
